Was it Glenn Rhee at the receiving end of Negan's deadly blows during the finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 6? To date, the mystery remains on who really was Lucille's victim but a new report is suggesting that Glenn will likely not reappear in AMC's TWD Season 7.

In a report, Design & Trend stopped short in declaring that Glenn is indeed dead, his head pummeled and crushed by the baseball bat-swinging Negan. However, the same report claimed that Steven Yeun, the actor suiting up as Glenn, is yet to be seen in the ongoing filming of The Walking Dead Season 7.

Earlier, AMC was reported that have shot numerous death scenes last season of TWD in order to sustain the question 'Who Negan killed?' and fend off spoilers as well. Eleven actors were filmed being bashed to death by Negan with his barb wire-covered Lucille and they include mainstays Carl (Chandler Riggs), Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Yeun.

But most of these actors have reported back to work and even captured in pictures participating in the underway filming of TWD S07. Pointing to the recent posts from Facebook fan page The Spoiling Dead (TSD), Design & Trend said that Lincoln as Rick and Reedus as Daryl have been spotted in the Alexandria set of The Walking Dead. It is assumed that TWD S07 will pick up where S06 had left off, which explains the location.

And Glenn was nowhere in sight, triggering the question on his fate - Is he dead?

The report said that Rick is far from being doomed and the same applies to Daryl. The two are chief TWD characters and seeing them again next season appears to have been sealed by the leaked images shared by TSD.

As for Carl, AMC can of course kill off the character and there were no reported sightings of him lately but Design & Trend is convinced that the young Grimes will not go away anytime soon. "There's so much more development to happen with Carl especially as he gets older. His relationship with Negan is also an interesting arc that AMC wouldn't let go to waste," the report said.

So the odds are evidently stacked against Glenn. Fact is in the comics version of The Walking Dead, Glenn is already a history. Somebody executed him in the same way that television viewers have seen on the show the past season. But in the comics, it was clear that Negan was doing his dirty work on Glenn aided by Lucille.

And so far, the indications are scarce that AMC will deviate from its source, spare Glenn of his fated horrible death and summon Yeun back for The Walking Dead Season 7, which will premiere October 11.
