"Game of Thrones" season 6 penultimate episode depicted the epic battle between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton, while the final and the tenth episode is expected to show the arrival of Lady Stoneheart, because it is a now or never situation for the showrunners.

Something big to the extent of Jon Snow's execution in the last season may happen in the "Game of Thrones" season 6 finale, Forbes reported. According to the publication, the season's finale might see the arrival of Lady Stoneheart, a much awaited moment in the history of "Game of Thrones."

Lady Stoneheart has remained one of the most mysterious characters so far that only exists in the George R.R. Martin's version of the books. The character has not made her way into the show as yet, but the fans are not sure whether she will ever appear on the show.

Lady Stoneheart is actually the resurrected version of Catelyn Stark. Identified by the Brotherhood without Banners after the Red Wedding, the corpse of Catelyn Stark was brought back to life by the immortal Berric Dondarrion, who gave up all his life-force and used the power of the Lord of Light to perform the task.

Barely being able to talk, Lady Stoneheart becomes a commander and quickly evolves to become a folk legend, Yahoo TV reports. Despite being an unpopular character in the books, Lady Stoneheart's storyline ends with her almost hanging Brienne in an attempt to force her to hunt down Jamie Lannister for what he did to her family.

Coming to the present scenario, Lady Stoneheart's arrival would be a big surprise for the fans, if it happens to occur in the finale. But the likelihood of her appearing on the show is both yes and no. In fact, there are arguments to support both the cases.

The idea of finding the decomposed body of Catelyn Stark seems like a useless task now, at this point of the show. Moreover, there have been no signs of men being under the control of someone else throughout the show. In addition, after the resurrection of Jon Snow, it is unlikely that the showrunners may want to resurrect another character as it will make Season 6 a bit too heavy.

However, her appearance on the show is not completely ruled out. With Walder Frey and Jaime Lannister celebrating their victory over Tully's in the finale, someone has to punish Frey for all the crimes that he has done in the past. In addition, the absence of Brienne and Pod probably indicates that the former may have been captured by Lady Stoneheart.
