Funcom has just announced that "Conan Exiles" will be delayed to next year. Its first gameplay trailer showed the different weapons and skills the main character has.

The game company has delayed the game's release to January 2017, since they want to spend a little more time in developing their vision of Hyboria, according to the official website of Steam. Creative Director Joel Bylos explained that this new game is a different type of game for them, and they wanted to approach its development with its mechanics of a survival sandbox genre, while combining it with the style of the Conan universe.

A new trailer of the game was released by the game company, and it showed the different features the players will expect when it launches, according to VG247. The video shows the different environments of the game, how the characters will be wielding their swords, how crossbows will be fired, and other nice features and tidbits about it.

Bylos explained that they still wanted to reach the Early Access promise in September, so that they can gather the feedback, and allow the testers to vote on the future of the project. They still want to do it, but the circumstances behind it have changed.

The game company announced a few weeks ago that their plan was to bring the game into Early Access in September, but they checked closely at their game and their production schedule. They have also been reading all of the feedback coming from their gaming community, and the expectations that their fans sent. With all of these factors, they have come to realize and a decision that they will have to extend their development schedule to polish up more on the features of the game, before they release its full version to the gaming community.

The additional funding for their gaming development studio will make their financial situation more flexible, compared to what it was a few weeks back, according to Bylos. He added that they want a situation where the game is stable, well featured, and the gaming community and development team are working hand in hand to make their game have a successful launch. They do not want a situation where the game is buggy, unstable, and unfinished.
