Some new blood is coming to FX's "American Horror Story." Most recent reports claimed that Cheyenne Jackson, 40, will be back for the sixth season of the critically acclaimed anthology horror television series.

In an interview with Out magazine, Jackson, who played the hotel owner Will Drake in the previous season, revealed that he will not only be back for Season 6, but that the TV series has already started filming. He will be joined by Angela Bassett and Lady Gaga, though the latter's involvement in the new season will not be as exceptional as it was in "American Horror Story: Hotel."

With the plot details being kept under wraps, it was learned that "American Horror Story" Season 6 has been shooting completely under the radar. The filming of the new season formally commenced in Los Angeles on June 23.

Although the official title and theme are all obscure yet, series co-creator Ryan Murphy recently teased that viewers can seemingly expect more gut-wrenching scenes and twisted story lines in the forthcoming Season 6. He ambiguously disclosed clues and hints alluding to the sixth season, saying that it will involve children and operatic themes.

"We're doing something that we've never done before on the show where we're doing two different groups of writers' rooms," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly. "The next thing we're crafting up is very, very different than this. Not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and darker."

Hence, speculations are rife that the sixth installment would most likely focus on Slender Man, a tall, mythical figure with a blank face and stretchy appendages that stalk children. Nonetheless, FX President John Landgraf previously revealed that the sixth season will be basically set in the present time, with a dual timeline in echoes of the past.

Meanwhile, other joining actors for the sixth season are Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Wes Bentley, Matt Bommer, Sarah Paulson and Finn Wittrock.
