The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is releasing in a phased manner for all the users of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the T-Mobile network. It will reach all the users in the coming fortnight.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users can check their device to see if they are prompted to download the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update or not. To do so, they need to go to Settings> About Phone> Check for Software Update.

In case the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users are prompted to download the latest operating system Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update then they should connect their device to a reliable and stable Wi-Fi network.

As the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is more than 1.5 GB so the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also ought to be connected to a power source if battery levels are less than 50 percent. This is a very important step because if the device loses power midway the download process then the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may be bricked. Contacts and the local data on the device may also be lost.

With Android Marshmallow, it is also possible to search for an application by only entering a keyword in the search criteria, according to GSM Arena.  Another feature is that of the finger print scanner. Users are now able to use the mobile scanner and approve the payments in the Google Play Store.

Users do not need to remember and type in all passwords to do any kind of bank transaction now. This feature will also help the users to make online transactions in a more secure manner. The support for Android Pay is also been incorporated with this upgrade, according to BGR.
