Like the tenth and final episode of the sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" titled "The Winds of Winter," the upcoming sixth installment of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is also extremely hyped. Martin has planned to end the series with the novel, "A Dream of Spring." The last installment, "A Dance with Dragons," was published way back on July 21, 2011 and was one of the best books that year. In fact, the entire series has been running for nearly two decades.

Recently, Martin has revealed more than a few chapters from 'The Winds of Winter,' which indicates that the novel is complete. During the Balticon Convention, the author has provided the details about a new character, Aeron Greyjoy. Rather than releasing the full book and giving his fans and readers what they desire most, Martin simply releases some sneak peeks through snippets of various chapters.

According to Martin, the new chapter is especially vicious compared to any other in the series. In the past it has been seen that when Martin such conclusions about an upcoming installment, it signifies that the he has finished the novel, or at least is close to doing so.

Meanwhile, speculations doing the round suggest that Martin may not be able to complete the story, as his pace of writing is too slow. In the 20 years since he started writing the series, the author has been able to complete only five chapters. While his fans are eager to read his novel until its last page, everyone is also concerned about his age and health.

Following a road trip to Baltimore, the author felt sick and suffered from coughing, fever, headache and congestion. Back from the trip, Martin wrote in his LiveJournal, "I am back home again in Santa Fe ... but I seem to have brought the plague home with me."

As expected, Martin's statement left his fans confused. They have been waiting for the next edition for nearly four years. Martin may have completed writing 'The Winds of the Winter,' but the final chapter still seems to be in the dark.
