New details for "Injustice 2" will feature a possible March 2017 release date window for the PlayStation 4 and new DC characters to be added soon.
It seems that new DC heroes and villains will be added to the roster of "Injustice 2" as "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon teased fans as he tweeted of a character poll asking comic book and gaming fans who they want to see in the sequel. Three choices were presented in the poll; Captain Cold, Swamp Thing and Blue Beetle. Blue Beetle has the highest percentage of votes at 39, while Swamp Thing is at 35 percent and Captain Cold being the lowest at 26 percent.
Boon tweeted again another photo from his Twitter page wearing an "Injustice 2" shirt showcasing several items belonging to famous DC heroes and villains such as Superman's insignia, Batman's Cowl, Wonder Woman's shield, Green Lantern's power battery, The Flash's boot, Harley Quinn's hammer, Capatain Cold's gun, Doctor Fate's helmet and an unknown item.
Doctor Fate has never been a playable character in the first "Injustice" game and fans will like to see him as one of the new fighters in the sequel along with Captain Cold, Swamp Thing and Blue Beetle. Boon stated in an interview that "Injustice 2" will not be all about the characters and features, but they wanted to continue a great story that the first game left off, making "Injustice 2" more unique than an average comic book storyline, ComicBook reported.
So far, the only playable characters in "Injustice 2" are Superman, Batman, The Flash, Atrocitus, Supergirl and Gorilla Grodd, each having their own unique skills, powers and armored transformations.
In other news, several rumors are making rounds regarding "Injustice 2's" possible release date for the PS4 and Xbox One.
According to the French video game website Gameblog, "Injustice 2" could launch on March 2017 in all gaming platforms, although it could be a subject of change since NetherRealm has not yet announced an official release date for the sequel.
NetherRealm has made a huge splash in showcasing "Injustice 2's" gameplay footages in E 2016. The Sequel will take place after the first game as Batman tries to rebuild the world after Superman's One Earth Regime,while at the same time stopping the Man of Steel's loyalist in breaking him out of his Red Sun prison, unaware that an even greater threat is coming to earth.
"Injustice 2" will be release sometime in 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
