Fans of Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant may have to cover their ears (or eyes?) for this, as actor Scott Foley, who plays the role of Jake Ballard in the TV show "Scanda," revealed something SCANDALous: Olivia has chosen Jake.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Foley shared, "I'm going to be very unpopular saying this: I think Olivia has chosen Jake. There is no question in my mind that she has chosen Jake."

He continued, "They concocted this plan, they were going to be together, he was going to leave [his fiancée] at the altar until Rowan threatened Olivia with Jake's life," he continued, "She had to have that really heartbreaking speech to him where she said, 'I don't love you, I never loved you, I love Fitz.' It was very apparent to me that she wanted to be with Jake and she couldn't."

This resulted to a complication of matters, such that Jake turned out to be Mellie's running mate as her vice president. Thus, although Olivia and Jake obviously have feelings for each other, they are forced by circumstances to put their personal interests aside until their situations become a bit lighter.

Foley adds in a separate interview, "Jake would always love to run away with Olivia and get out and just live their lives...The last scene that we saw with them when Olivia tells Jake to put on his tie and get the f*** out there, I think it is sort of emblematic in where they are - it seems to be all business right now."

On a different note on the setting, Jake's running mate Mellie, played by Bellamy Young, spilled about her on-screen competition for presidency, Frankie Vargas and his running mate, Cyrus Beene, according to Melty. She shared that, "It will be a bloodbath if we come back to an election in season 6," teasing fans about the drama to come not only in the show's love department, but in the political department as well.
