Chris Jericho has been wrestling since 1990 but he is still going strong in his current run with the WWE. In a recent interview, Jericho revealed his retirement plans and the projects he will after his wrestling career is over.

The 45-year-old superstar started wrestling at the age of 19 wherein he made his debut against Lance Storm. It was the start of a legendary career that spanned 16 years and four countries. He wrestled in Mexico and Japan but got recognition for his work with Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling.

Jericho reached new levels of fame when he signed with the WWE and made a memorable debut on the August 9, 1999 episode of Raw is War. He went on to win many championships in the WWE including four world titles and nine Intercontinental championships.

Y2J stopped being a full-time WWE performer in 2005 when he focused on his music career and other ventures. However, it has not stopped him from wrestling at the highest level. In his 2016 WWE run, he had a good feud with A.J. Styles and his heel character one of the best right now.

According to Bleacher Report, Jericho is proving his value in the WWE with his latest heel character that has a "stupid idiot" catchphrase. The "New Era" needs veteran stars like Jericho that will put over younger talents and make them the new stars of the WWE.

In an interview with USA Today, Jericho was asked what is his future in the WWE and if he is thinking about retirement. He also mentioned his plans outside the wrestling industry and revealed some of his business ventures.

"I'm 45 years old and pretty soon, I'm not going to want to take any more bumps. But if you look at the arc of entertainment, you can go until you're 75 years old or beyond. There's no limit to what you can accomplish in the world of entertainment," Jericho said.

The Winnipeg native added that he is writing his fourth book, he has some acting roles, his band Fozzy is very successful and his podcast is doing great business. He will also be launching The Jericho Network on July 7 in partnership with PodcastOne.

The Jericho Network is an expansion of his popular "Talk is Jericho" podcast. It will debut several shows with different hosts every month. The new podcasts are going to talk about different topics under the sun such as the paranormal, pop culture and of course, wrestling.

The first show will be "Keeping It 100 with Konnan." It is hosted by former WWE, WCW and ECW superstar Konnan. The 52-year-old is currently working for Lucha Underground but he is good friends with Jericho.
