This led to a number of news websites comparing the 29-year-old actor to other Korean celebrities like singer-actress Im Yoona and Hallyu star Song Joong Ki, both have been well-received by the Chinese audience.

All K-Pop reported how Yoona showed off her Chinese skills during a recent solo fan meeting held in China. She impressed her fans by confidently and comfortably using Chinese that she did not even need help from a translator.

In addition to speaking the language, Yoona also sang some Chinese songs during the said event where she was applauded by her mesmerized fans who chanted during the fan meet how she's good in Chinese.

Yoona, who is a member of the Korean girl group Girls' Generation, has gained popularity in the country when she played the character Zhao Yun in "God of War" which was shown in Hunan TV. She is currently doing a series of fan meetings in China as gratitude to her fans and is scheduled to go to Guangzhou on July 2, Chongqing on July 24 and Shanghai on July 30.

On the other hand, Joong Ki is also becoming more popular in China. Similar with Yoona, the "Descendants of the Sun" actor has been reported to be good in the Chinese language and is also better than Lee.

Soompi has learned that Joong Ki has an edge over the "Bounty Hunter" actor since he has a brother who studied in China for 8 years. He also showcased his Chinese skills during his recent fan meetings in the country where he revealed to his fans how his brother has influenced him.

Aside from comparisons of their use of the Chinese language, Lee and Joong Ki are pitted off one another because both are linked to Song Hye Kyo. Lee recently expressed his desire to work with the actress. Meanwhile, Joong Ki is rumored to be secretly dating Hye Kyo, who was his leading lady in the hit romantic TV series "Descendants of the Sun".
