Dwyane Wade could be joining the New York Knicks this summer and attempt to form his own "Big Three" with Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose.

It appears Wade is likely to join only his second team in his 13-year career, with the Heat focusing on the Kevin Durant sweepstakes. According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Ramona Shelburne, the Knicks are one of the two teams in talks to acquire Wade this summer.

"As the Miami Heat focus on a Sunday meeting with Kevin Durant, free agent Dwyane Wade is intensifying talks with other teams, including the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks, sources told ESPN," the report disclosed.

Wade has reportedly grown frustrated with the Heat as the team focused in retaining Hassan Whiteside and chasing after Durant, who is scheduled to have a face-to-face meeting with Miami. As it stands, it is almost a guarantee that Wade bolts out from South Beach and probably take his talents to the Big Apple to join his close buddy Anthony and form a formidable trio with Rose.

Wade should be a good fit for the Knicks, who are looking for a starting shooting guard to play alongside Rose. Despite his aging body, the three-time NBA champ could still help the Knicks in many ways.

Last season, Wade averaged 19.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the Heat as he helped wheeled the team deep in the playoffs. With the Knicks having plenty of scoring options, it won't be necessary for Wade to grind every game, potentially preserving his body for a postseason campaign.

The Bucks are also reportedly in the hunt for Wade, but the Knicks could be the more intriguing destination for the Heat star.

The Knicks have been surprisingly active taking risks in the offseason after trading for Rose and adding Joakim Noah in their roster. The team are also in the hunt for backcourt help as they target Courtney Lee and Eric Gordon, who could either play as perfect backup to Wade.

It would be interesting to see Wade wearing a different jersey for the first time in his career, much more a Knicks uniform. Given his stale contract situation with the Heat, Wade is likely a goner and the Knicks could take full advantage of it to sign Wade.
