The delayed release date for Nintendo NX came straight from the infamous Japanese game developer and designer and one of Nintendo's main man Shigeru Miyamoto, Trusted Reviews reported. Miyamoto said the postponement was because of a new mysterious feature being worked on as of now at the Japanese's tech company.

"In terms of NX, there's an idea that we're working on. That's why we can't sharing anything at this point. It is was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quickers," Miyamoto explained to Associated Press (AP).

This means Nintendo is beefing up its newest gadget to be at the helm of its competitors. Tech observers believe that the new innovation may cause longer delays, and the company might miss its promised March 2017 release date. One proof of it is the absence of Nintendo NX's hardware information during E3 2016, which should have been unveiled if production is on the right track.

Aside from comments of tech analyst, Miyamoto's statement also sparked frenzy among Nintendo's avid fans, who are eagerly waiting for the Nintendo NX, Ecumenical News reported.

A lot of them have hinted that the Japanese tech giant may equip the coming console with the virtual or augmented reality feature. Although, it can be remembered that Nintendo has already release a VR game console back in 1995, which is called "Virtual Boy." It can be recalled too that Nintendo has openly announced their openness to idea of boosting Nintendo NX with a virtual reality feature before.

Meanwhile, president and chief executive officer at Nintendo America Reginal Fils-Aimé refute the speculations.  Fils-Aimé said that the gaming platform needs more time to be established and be warmly accepted by gaming consumers before Nintendo tries VR again.
