The cast and crew for the season 2 of ''Seven Deadly Sins'' is shaping up. Keigo Sasaki has joined back as the designer of the characters.
The speculations have started whether there will be new characters in season 2. The makers have been tight lipped about the plot and new characters. As of now the confirmed news is that Tomokazu Tokorowill has joined as director of season 2 and Yuniko Ayana as a scriptwriter and Yuichiro Kido as scriptwriter as per anime news network. In the previous articles of Yibada, the readers have already read that Yuuki Kaji will reprise as Meliodas, Sora Amamiya as Elizabeth, Misaki Kuno as Hawk, Aoi Yūki as Diane, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ban and Jun Fukuyama as King.
It is not yet confirmed whether ''The Seven Deadly Sins'' season 2 is a sequel of season 1. The manga series writer and illustrator Nakaba Suzuki confirmed that he has plans of releasing three main story arcs and each of them will contain 100 chapters. So the manga will now have a total of 300 new chapters.
As the viewers know, the voice of Merlin was provided by Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese and Lauren Landa in English in season 1. In season 2 also there will be no change for Merlin's voice. Yūhei Takagi had given the voice of Gowther in Japanese and Erik Scott Kimerer in English in season 1. In season 2 also Takagi will be the vocal force behind the voice of Gowther. In season 1, there was one more character Escanor, however there is no mention of his role in season 2.
In season 2 there are a few new characters added, Takahiro Sakurai as Griamor and Ryohei Kimura as Hauser. So where will the story take a turn now? According to My anime list, there were two OVAs which were be added with the Vol. 15 and 16 of the manga. They were aired on Nov. 17, 2015 and Mar. 17, 2016, respectively.
