Not unexpectedly, “Descendants of the Sun,” topped the list, tied with “Signal” with four votes each. The producers were selected from cable and public broadcasters who were not involved in the Hallyus selected. It was followed by “Oh Hae Young Again” and “Remember” with one vote each, reported Soompi.

“Signal,” the grand winner in the Baeksang Award, is about two police officers who work as a team to solve crimes with the help of signals from the past and future transmitted by a mysterious radio. “Oh Hae Young Again” has a unique romantic storyline, while “Remember” is about a young lawyer with a very sharp memory which he utilizes to seek justice for his father.

In the best actor category, Song Joong-ki of “Descendants of the Sun” placed second with two votes. He was tied with Namgoong Min from “Remember.” In top spot was “Signal’s” Jo Jin Woong who got three votes, according to Soompi.

With one votes each for the third place are Lee Sung Min for “Memory,” Kim Hye Soo for “Signal” and Jin Goo for “Descendants of the Sun.”

Because of Jin Goo’s strong performance in the 16-episode Hallyu, speculations are that he and Kim Ji Won would play the lead roles in Season 2 of “Descendants of the Sun.”
