The online store will officially open within the next few months. Xiaomi said it will also offer its online services in other countries but didn't provide additional information as to which country they're targeting.

Despite not having its well-received line of smartphones in its products listings, the online store will still sell products ranging from health bands, headphones and power chargers.

"[Xiaomi] can bring these products to market much faster because they are simpler to take to market. We intend to launch it here in the U.S. and perhaps a few other markets and see how it goes," said Xiaomi vice president of international Hugo Barra in an interview.

Most of Xiaomi's market is in Asia. It currently offers its online services within China, India, Taiwan and Singapore. The company is the biggest smartphone manufacturer in China.

It also holds dominates smartphones sales in China, even outselling tech giants Apple and Samsung, according to Bloomberg.

Xiaomi is reported to have sold 61 million units of its smartphones in 2014 with 17.1 million sold within the fourth quarter, according to Pymnts.

During the latter part of 2014, a fundraising campaign boosted the company's value to $45 billion. The company started only in 2010 and now claims to have more than 100 million active users worldwide.

When Xiaomi began garnering market traction, it was criticized by Apple design chief Jony Ive who said Xiaomi phones look strikingly similar to the Apple iPhone.
