Blizzard will be releasing an "Overwatch" patch soon to fix the new issue that caused Competitive Mode to penalize players wrongly. Game Director Jeff Kaplan did not give any details on what caused the issue in the first place.
The new mode was rolled out recently, but it seemed to cause some issues with the players, which was giving out penalties when they get disconnected during the middle of the game. Players usually will not get charged with a penalty they could reconnect to a match successfully, but it seemed that many of them were still getting the penalty, even if they won the match. Kaplan replied on the official forums of the game that they will get it fixed hopefully in the coming days.
Even though the game director usually gives a lot of details when it comes to the bugs and issues the popular shooting video game creates, he did not explain further this time around, according to Gamespot. Last month, he discussed the new heroes and maps that will never be added to the game, since these had some issues that could make the game not balanced.
The new mode can now be played in the game on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was released earlier on the console versions of the game, which was on June 30.
In other news, Blizzard will be taking cheat maker to court for creating a cheat program for the video game. The cheat creator is a Germany company called Bossland that created the cheat program called Watchover Tyrant. The program has features that will make the game easier for the player who has it, like revealing the locations of their opponents on radar.
According to TorrentFreak, this is not the first time the game company has filed a case against the cheat makers. The game company has fought against them for different cheat programs that were created for other games they have owned, like "Heroes of the Storm." The cheats that the German company created have caused harm to the game company by violating its copyrights and terms of service.
