Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos declared that he is ready to face any challenger in his upcoming fights. And this includes UFC superstar Georges St-Pierre, who is planning to return to the Octagon later this year, because Dos Anjos believes he can beat GSP.

Dos Anjos is set to defend his UFC lightweight title against Eddie Alvarez on Thursday in Las Vegas. And if he wins, the 31-year-old said that he will accept any fight, including against the winner of the Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz bout at UFC 202 on Sunday.

"I don't care if it's Conor McGregor or Nate Diaz or whoever," Dos Anjos told Yahoo Sports. "My job is to defend this title."

The Brazilian champion also addressed recent rumors linking him to a possible showdown with St-Pierre. Dos Anjos admitted that the former UFC welterweight champion is his idol. But if offered the face the Canadian superstar, he reiterated that he will not hesitate to accept the fight.

While St-Pierre is an inspiration to him, he declared that it will not be a factor when they meet inside the Octagon. He confidently said that he believes he has all the tools to beat St-Pierre.

"Of course I can beat him," Dos Anjos said. "I am confident in my game and can beat anybody."

St-Pierre, who owns a 25-2 fight record, has not fought since scoring a split decision win against Johny Hendricks in November 2013. The 35-year-old superstar previously expressed disappointment over UFC's policy on performance-enhancing drugs but recently revealed his plan to fight again in the Octagon.

St-Pierre is also being linked to a possible showdown with Michael Bisping after GSP said he wants a shot at the UFC middleweight title. However, Bisping said on SiriusXM Rush radio show that UFC already has plans for his title defense and it will not be against St-Pierre. Bisping quickly added, though, that he is planning to call out GSP.

"Just for the record, I will call GSP out," Bisping said via Daily Star. "I've got somebody in mind for my next fight and when that's taken care of, if GSP's man enough and he wants to step on the dotted line and fight, I will happily fight Georges St-Pierre."
