Microsoft is seemingly ready to handle the hardware business on its own. Indian app developer Shubhan Chemburkar's recent visit to the company's Building 88 revealed a dedicated wall of Microsoft's hardware efforts. The specific wall had a section for this year that simply says "Coming Soon."

The wall in Building 88 solely featured the Microsoft Surface products, spurring rumors that the 2016 Surface device would be called Surface All-in-One. Many fans believe that this device would be the answer from Microsoft for Apple's MacBook Pro.

Microsoft has always used the Surface line to display the power of its software, according to Forbes. As opposed to Apple that makes its revenue mainly through the sale of hardware, Microsoft's income is majorly rooted in the sale and use of its collection of renowned software like MS Office and Windows OS. Therefore, it is rational for Microsoft to develop an AIO machine.

In many ways, Surface AIO would give the company a good way show users just how much Microsoft's software can perform with the right hardware, according to the Verge. Currently, the gadgets that best suit this would be the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 - two hybrid machines that compete favorably with MacBook Pro and iPad Pro.

While the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are great devices, they are still portable machines. As a result, the developer has much to do.

If Microsoft were to manufacture a Surface desktop, the device would have far more options to benefit from the capability of its software. The desktop would equip the best that Microsoft has to give, such as Nvidia's latest GPU, the GeForce 1080.

The cost of such a machine would be definitely high, but it would have a viable market. Windows is still considered the Operating System used by most power consumers in the computing world. Although MacOS is user-friendly and Linux is fantastic when utilized for servers, most heavy-duty computing is commonly done with Windows.

In case Microsoft considers developing the Holy Grail of PCs, it would be one of the best-selling Surface devices ever. Here is footage for more information on the Surface All-In-One:
