Rockstar Games has decided to celebrate "GTA" online map makers, who use in-game tools to create extreme stunt tracks, by announcing a "Trackmania-style" "GTA" DLC for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The extension is dubbed "Cunning Stunts" and will arrive later, next week, on July 12.

According to Engadget, the DLC will add new stunt courses on "GTA Online," particularly above Los Santos for players to race on. There will also be a fresh set of stunt track objects for map makers to manipulate.

Some of the added features will include straightaways, tubes, ramps, turns, boost strips, loops, and such obstacles as rings of fire and spinning blades. Due to their nature, the stunt additions borrow heavily from Ubisoft's "Trackmania" series.

For "GTA" enthusiasts, this is a good thing since "GTA Online" map makers have, in the past, been forced to resort to using items such as containers and other game objects to create their unusual race courses. In such improvisations, the objects do not usually work in an efficient manner because they do not snap correctly.

With the new additions, however, there will be a larger palette for "GTA Online" custom content creators to exploit. Apart from these, a new set of vehicles is also expected to come with"GTA Online: Cunning Stunts" DLC pack.

The vehicles will be 13 in total and will include Trophy trucks and a GTA spin on the Lancia Stratos, Mclaren F1, Fiat Abarth 500, Lexus LF-A, Mazda 787B, and Audi Quattro S1 Sport. Two extra motorcycles may as well get released along with two other sets of duds and accessories to try on.

However, it is unfortunate that earlier console gamers will not enjoy the new additions. This is because "GTA Online: Cunning Stunts" will only focus on the latest gen hardware, therefore, ruling out the likes of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Eurogamer reported.

Rockstar had earlier decided to stop bringing new content to earlier-generation consoles because they are no longer capable of physically handling extra content. Apparently, the developer has realized his plans and "GTA" DLCs will not come to last-gen consoles any longer.
