"Empire" season 3 recently cast rapper French Montana to appear in the premiere episode.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Khloe Kardashian's ex-boyfriend will play the role of a music mogul named Vaughn. The character also happens to be part of Lucious Lyon's (Terrence Howard) group of rich and privileged friends.
The publication is also speculating on the possibility of Vaughn eventually becoming Cookie's (Taraji P. Henson) love interest.
Meanwhile, "Empire" series co-creator Lee Daniels was first to tease Montana's casting in the hit FOX TV series on Thursday.
Daniels shared a photo of Montana, himself, Howard and rapper Birdman on the set of "Empire" season 3 via his Instagram account.
Montana also shared two photos from the set of "Empire" season 3 via his Instagram account.
The first photo revealed that he and the other cast members are filming very late at night.
Another snap showed the rapper with his co-stars lounging outdoors in between takes.
Montana also reposted the photo that Daniels shared on his social media account.
"TOP SECRET," he wrote.
Other than Montana, there will also be a slew of new characters that will be introduced in the series.
A young Cookie and Lucious is being cast as of the moment, and a butler and maid for the Lyon family is also being cast.
In other news, "Empire" season 3 is set to return to FOX with new episodes starting Sept. 21.
The series will kick off where season 2 left off, which means that Anika (Grace Gealey) and Rhonda's (Kaitlin Doubleday) fates will be confirmed.
In the finale episode for season 2, the two female characters strangled each other while in the balcony of a tall building.
When Andre (Trai Byers) walked in on their fight, it seemed as though it was too late because both female characters started screaming loudly.
This suggests that one of them may have fallen off the balcony and by the looks of it, it could have been Rhonda.
"Empire" season 3 will premiere on FOX on Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET.
