"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 star Ian Somerhalder is rumored to cross paths with his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con.
According to Hollywood Hills, the hit The CW series is just one of the many other shows that will be featured at the said event.
A few days ago, Somerhalder already confirmed his attendance at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con and this didn't come as a surprise to fans because the actor has always been around throughout the past couple of years.
However, what became quite shocking was the report that Dobrev will also attend the same event.
As of late, it is still unclear whether or not the actress will really be present at the event and if she will be joining her former co-stars in "The Vampire Diaries."
Previously, executive producer Julie Plec confirmed the upcoming return of Dobrev to the series in the finale episode.
Even though it is still unclear whether or not season 8 will be the last for the show, it is confirmed to be Somerhalder's last installment.
With this, a reunion is indeed possible between the two cast members and their rumored attendance at the Comic Con can indeed become a reality.
"The Vampire Diaries" will appear in the panel at Ballroom 20 at 11 a.m. on July 23.
Meanwhile, before the filming for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 begins in the next couple of weeks, Dobrev and Somerhalder are first busy enjoying the company of their family and friends.
