Rumor has it that "The Expendables 4" is currently in the works and may be hitting the big screens next year, although it is still unconfirmed whether Sylvester Stallone would be a part of the upcoming movie.

Yibada reported in April that some of the previous cast members of "The Expendables" instalment spoke up and stated that they don't think Stallone would be willing to reprise his role as Sly in the film.

Terry Crews stated during an interview that he feels like Stallone would probably opt to focus in making another sequel for his recent movie "Creed," where the veteran actor was even nominated for Best Supporting Actor during the Golden Globes.

On the same report, Crews said that Stallone should make up his mind and decide if he's going for "The Expendables 4" or create "Creed 2," wherein he stated "He should think about what his next move is going to be, what he's going to do. 'Creed' was amazing. It showed his depth and he's a lot deeper than people always give him credit for."

In other news, according to Master Herald, Stallone just recently announced that the upcoming 4th instalment for Expendables would have an R rating and would be much bloodier and darker than the first 3 instalments.

Although it is still not confirmed if Stallone will reprise his role, rumor has it that the veteran actor, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been going around scouting for new additional cast members for the "The Expendables 4."

At first, it was claimed that a lot of big names may be part of "The Expendables 4," such as Nicolas Cage, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, Jackie Chan and Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao, although it was not confirmed whether some of the rumored actors would actually be a part of the film.

Just recently, it was also reported that "The Expendables 4" would feature some of the well-known wrestlers, such as Hulk Hogan, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin, as the protagonists in the upcoming film, though no confirmation yet was announced until today.

In addition, it is stated that the filming of "The Expendables 4" would be done sometime this year in China. Speculation suggests that a Chinese investor financed the production of the movie, and gave them $100 million budget to start their production by fall.

The premiere date of "The Expendables 4" is still unknown, although some speculations indicates that the film would probably hit the big screens sometime in 2017.
