New details on "Tekken 7" will feature new technology for the sequel, "Pokken Tournament's" influence and PlayStation 4 version to run on 1080p/60fps.
Game producer Katsuhiro Harada shared several interesting details about "Tekken 7's" new technology development and the interest and attention that gaming fans want to see in the sequel. Harada teased a new idea on how he and Bandai Namco can attract many gamers, old and new to the series without the necessary to be more complex.
The best way for gamers to be attract to "Tekken 7" is by the use of new technology present in making the sequel. Harada told Siliconera that if the new technology does not work for them, the storylines and the unique characters can certainly get their attention quickly.
Harada also cited how "Pokken Tournanment" became successful in catering interest of gaming and Pokemon fans as the game is designed to be a new Pokemon title for them. Harada stated that the new technology used in making "Tekken" sequels has always been the core factor and people are attracted to the latest tech they can find which makes the new game more interesting. Rather than trying to change the mechanics or fundamentals to bring new players in, Harada felt that it is better to focus on unique characters and storylines, WCCFTech reported.
Some of the features in "Tekken 7" will be "Street Fighter" character Akuma joining the roster, The Rage Art finsihing moves for each character, a PlayStation VR gameplay and it is the first "Tekken" title to be present in the PC platform.
In other news, Bandai Namco announced the frame rate of "Tekken 7" for the PS4 version as Harada tweeted that the sequel will run on 1080p/60 frames-per-second.
So far, Harad did not reveal any further details if the Xbox One version of the game will get the same treatment as the PS4 version. Harada tweeted another answer to a fans question asking him if "Tekken 7" will have a DLC, as replied by saying that it is still under consideration.
Previous reports hinted that Bandai Namco will likely look into a cross-platform gameplay for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of "Tekken 7" and the possibility of "Tekken X Street Fighter" depending on the success of the sequel.
"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
