If “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki landed fourth on Tuesday on the list of Korean celebrities with the Most Envied Bodies, perhaps in 2017, he would be ranked higher or top the list.

At the rate the 30-year-old actor is physically preparing for his role as a Korean soldier in “Battleship Island,” he is not only losing weight to look the part but also becoming more bulky. On Monday, the actor’s personal trainer, Danny Joe, posted a photo of them together on Danny’s Instagram account, reported Soompi.

The famous personal trainer captioned the picture: “I was fortunate enough to train the one of the biggest star in Asia, Song Joong Ki. I am living proof that when you do good things for others, it will ALWAYS come back to you. Be KIND, work HARD and AMAZING things will happen.”

Danny trained Song Joong-ki for two weeks for his role in “Battleship Island.” According to Blossom Entertainment, the actor shot and prepared for the movie from July 1 through July 10. This week would be spent attending the launch of Hite beer, one of his commercial endorsements, to be followed by the Shanghai fan meet.

Meanwhile, Koreabizwiz reported that the site in Taebaek, where “Descendants of the Sun” was shot, is being restored and would be open to the public by the end of July. Taebaek was the location of the Mowuru Company's base camp in the TV series.

It was torn down after the filming, but because of the popularity of the 16-episode Hallyu, Taebaek City invested 170 million won to restore the location after the city observed tourists coming to see the site. It was actually the site of the Taebaek Hanbo Coal Mine closed in October 2008.
