Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone have fallen back in love with each other in the first teaser trailer for upcoming romantic musical "La La Land."

The trailer, which debuted on July 13, features Gosling as a jazz pianist named Sebastian while Stone plays the role of his girlfriend, an aspiring actress named Mia.

According to the film's official plot synopsis obtained by CBS8, both characters try to deal with the pressures and struggles of making their big break in Hollywood. The musical, set in modern day Los Angeles, explores the joys and pains that are associated with the pursuit of one's dreams.

Although the trailer does not include any dialogues, we can hear Gosling singing a sweet jazz tune "City of Stars" in the background as we see shots of him and Stone gazing dreamily into each other's eyes. However, it is not all rainbows and butterflies for the couple, as the lyrics of the song suggest.

"City of stars, are you shining just for me? City of stars, there's so much I can't see," Gosling sings, according to E! News. "Is this the start of something wonderful-or one more dream that I cannot make true."

Miles Teller, who Chazelle, has previously worked with in "Whiplash" and Emma Watson were previously considered for the roles of Sebastian and Mia respectively, but Gosling and Stone bagged the roles instead.

"La La Land," which also stars J.K. Simmons of "Whiplash" fame, is scheduled to premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Aug. 31 before it hits theatres on Dec. 2.
