With the current fall of Apple's Mac sales, industry analysts are now suspecting that Mac fans could be eagerly waiting for the release of MacBook Pro 2016 and next-generation PCs, further leading to an overall decline in purchases of the current PCs.

Just like iPhone and iPad sales, Mac sales have continued to drop despite the company's efforts of regaining its sales performance. Recent reports confirm that Apple is dealing with the worrisome decline of its sales by embracing back-to school promos and discounts.

However, the situation is far from getting back to normal. Fresh statistics from market research firm IDC show that Mac sales experienced a year-over-year decline in the second Quarter of 2016, dropping from 4.8 million a year ago to 4.4 million. Apple fell behind other competitors like ASUS, only to finish as the fifth-largest PC vendor worldwide, Huffington Post reported.

The company currently holds a 7.1 percent market share globally, which is a drop from 7.4 percent recorded in 2015. The decline is linked to partial seasonal fluctuations coupled with competition from other PC vendors.

But this is not the first period that Apple has experienced poor sales. Since the last half of 2015, the company has reported a dip in Mac sales, with the trend continually stagnating. Now, the only hope for the company is that the release of MacBook Pro 2016 and iPhone 7 will heal the situation.

It is predicted that the Cupertino-based tech giant plans to counter the current poor sales performance by releasing the next generation of MacBook Pro. As well, evidence shows that prospective buyers of the legendary MacBook lineup devices are impatiently waiting for the company to release the MacBook Pro 2016.

According to Mac Rumors Apple has not updated the MacBook Pro in over 400 days. And this could just be one of the reasons why MacBook sales are falling. The hope for many Mac fans is that the company will release a fresh redesigned MacBook Pro with faster Skylake processors, Therbolt 3, and USB-C in the near future.

As impressive as the next generation MacBook Pro sounds, only time will tell if Apple will manage to counter its declining PC sales when it launches. Watch the video below for a detailed report on Apple's sales:
