One Punch Man is an anime TV series produced by Madhouse based from a Japanese webcomic created by One.
The latest details for "One Punch Man" season 2 will feature three main villains, more than 12 episodes and a possible release date for it sophomore season.
The official website of Viz Media announced that "One Punch Man" season 1 English Dub will air on July 16 in Toonami.The cast of the English dub will include Max Mittleman as the series protagonist Saitama, Zach Aguilar as the cyborg hero Genos, Robbie Daymond as C-Class Hero Mumen Rider and Erik Kimerer as the ninja warrior/mercenary Speed 'o'Sound Sonic.
However, most anime fans are still waiting any sort of details for "One Punch Man" season 2 since they were expecting that kind of information in the recent Anime Expo 2016 event. But, several reports speculated that release date of "One Punch Man" season 2 will depend on the English dub version's success in the ratings.
A high viewership for the English-dubbed season 1 is already a given and both the manga and the series have created a solid fan base all over the world. There have rumors that season 2 of "One Punch Man" will air on October this year, while other stated that it could be in the early months of 2017.
Manga creator Yusuke Murata confirmed that he and his team are at the first phase of the production and will likely meet the demands of anime fans very soon. Murata added that they are already updating the source materials for the anime, but there not details regarding what storyline will it be based on.
In addition, "One Punch Man" season 2 may feature more than 12 episodes than the previous season due to the manga series having nine volumes.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors making rounds that Saitama will not only face one main villain but three in "One Punch Man" season 2.
These villains are Garou, Lord Boros and Amai Mask. Garou, the former student of S-Class ranked 3 hero Bang/Silver Fang and main antagonist in the "Hero Hunt" arc. Silver Fang took Garou in his dojo and trained him the "Water Stream Rock" style of martial arts. As a child, Garou rooted for villains instead of heroes and took out almost every student in the dojo to demonstrate his power. Silver Fang had no choice, but to exile Garou from his dojo as the latter learned different martial arts styles to increase his power.
Lord Boros is the leader to the Dark Matter Thieves and fought Saitama in an epic season finale episode were Boros commented on the latters "true strength" not yet being unleashed yet and Boros already knew he will lose the fight. It is unknown how Lord Boros will come back to life in the season 2 of the anime.
Lastly is Amai Mask is the ranked one hero in the A-Class and also works as an actor and singer. Amai Mask believes that heroes should be a perfect example to the public and if the heroes cannot protect them, they must strive to be stronger.
However, underneath his popularity lies a darker personality as he believes that "evil" should be exterminated quickly as he mercilessly killed the capture crew of the Dark Matter Thieves without giving it a second thought.
Amai Mask also mocked the rest of the S-Class heroes for their "failure" in saving City A and statetd that the only reason he stayed as number one in the A-Class because he believes that those who are worthy of an S-class shoud get it and he will decides if the hero is worthy enough to earn the title. Amai Mask will have an interest in Saitama and will likely uncover the secret of his powers and use on his own purposes in season 2, MovieNewsGuide reported.
Anime fans will likely have to wait for more details on "One Punch Man" season 2 very soon.
