Fans can now see more of the new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered edition as Activision rolled out a new gameplay video that shows the famous Crew Expendable mission.
One of the most loved titles from the Call of Duty franchise is the first Modern Warfare which featured the first appearance of Soap McTavish and Captain Price as the game's protagonists. It also featured the current weapons and was not really futuristic compared to their current Black Ops III game and the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
The game redefined Call of Duty in terms of graphics and the storyline at the time. Compared to their newer games today, the graphics of Call of Duty 4 seems pretty old-school.
Activision decided to develop a Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remastered version as a tribute to its fans and also another way to milk the franchise once again for money. The new Call of Duty 4 Remastered version can only be bought with the premium versions of the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which easily costs $80 and above, EuroGamer has learned.
Fans have criticized the publisher for its seemingly unfair tactic of not selling the remade version on its own. Most players have also disliked the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare reveal trailer on YouTube and it has now over three million dislikes as of this writing.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered will include only 10 multiplayer maps out of the 17 that were in the original, GameSpot reported. Five of the 10 maps have already been announced by Raven Software, who is developing the Remastered version, and these are Overgrown, Bog, Crossfire, Backlot and Crash.
PC requirements for the revamped edition seem to be just the same as the current ones. As long as the PC can handle games with an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 counterpart, they will be able to run the remastered version.
Activision is set to release the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered version at the same time as the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4. Players will have to buy both games as they will not be able to get the remade version alone.
