Martin took to his official blog to share with fans that he discovered a "Game of Thrones" slot machine. In addition, the author made no secrets about the fact that he was eager to own one.

"This wild ride I have been on for this last decade just keeps getting wilder. The amount of Game of Thrones stuff out there boggles even me," Martin remarked on his blog prior to sharing a link to an online video clip. The "Game of Thrones" slot machine was featured in a clip on YouTube.

The author also revealed that while he does not visit casinos often, his preference would be to play black jack or poker at a table. However, he remarked that in this case, he would opt to play with the slot machine.

"In fact, I want one for myself. Though I have no idea whether it is even legal for an individual to own a slot machine, or if you need a casino to be able to have one," Martin said in his online post. He said he believed fans could see the slot machine in New Mexico at the Sky City Casino.

Meanwhile, co-creators of the HBO show, David Benioff and Dan Weiss told UFC that Martin did not always agree with their creative decisions. The website quoted the duo during a podcast interview where they spoke about writing for Season 6.

Weiss and Benioff said  Martin understood the difficulties of adapting to screen. They said, "By and large, he gets what you need to do to adapt something and he's a grown-up and a gentleman about it."

In the past, it has been reported that fans have voiced opposition over alterations that veer from Martin´s books. However, "Game of Thrones" Season 6  concluded recently to rave reviews. It was written without the guidance of a novel, as the story is yet being written by Martin.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is set to return in 2017. However, it is rumored that "The Winds of Winter" is already written and will be made available at the end of this year.
