South Korean entertainment company, YG Entertainment, is prepping for the official debut of its new girl group, BLACKPINK at the end of this month.YG revealed the new group will release five new songs which will have full music videos before the yearend.

After BLACKPINK's debut this month, they will go on releasing new songs until December. While people usually focus on the title track of a newly-released album, YG plans to release many songs for Black Pink's debut album since they believe all their songs are of the highest quality.

South Korean rapper and singer Park Hong Jun aka Teddy Park takes care of the girls' debut album. He worked hard for the past two years to create songs that fit the girls. The group members have filmed two MVs already, and are filming another one.

The group is named BLACKPINK because pink is the prettiest color but it is not everything; hence, the girls are not just beautiful, but also talented. The group is composed of Kim Jisoo (born in 1995), Jennie Kim (1996), Lalisa Manoban (1997) and Park "Rose" Chaeyoung (1997). Manoban is Thai and Park is from Australia.

Black Pink used to be nine members but later changed to only four, Soompi reported. The other five members are still with YG and the agency may debut them later.

YG Entertainment has several famous talents under its umbrella. They include "Gangnam Style" guy Psy, girl group 2NE1 and boy band Bigbang who were recently honored to be included in Forbes' Celeb 100 list, being a top earner in the global entertainment space.

Bigbang remains cohesive but its boy members are about to face the demands for mandatory military service, while the four-member 2NE1 had been left by its youngest member early this year. Following Gong Min Ji's (aka Minzi) departure from the group, there were rumors that YG is looking for a replacement but the agency confirmed it is not the case. Furthermore, one of 2NE's members, Sandara Park will have a gig in the Philippines.

YG has confirmed the comeback for its flagship girl group in 2017, CSN reported. This time, as a trio though the entertainment firm has its eyes still for the debut of BLACKPINK.
