Popular gaming company, Razer, recently launched its own chat app, "RazerGo" for Pokemon Go users. The web version of the app has already launched, but the iOS and Android mobile apps are scheduled to release on July 25.

Smartphone users playing Pokemon Go can chat with other users positioned within a set radius via the app. The app is regarded to be most useful within a close range, i.e., other players staying within a radius of 360, or 600 miles.

Those who download the app on their iOS or Android smartphones can either talk to other users in their own team, participate in public chat or personally talk with other players/users on the app. Based on a new feature, Razer may design a special element in the app that will allow users to drop "Beacons" so as to open chat rooms that are indicated near them on the map.

Currently, Pokemon Go is creating waves across the world with millions of fans registering on the social game. While there is an already existing app called GoChat, RazerGo is now the new salvo in the gaming market, The Verge reported.

Razer is hosting several Pokecrawl events in and around San Francisco stores so as to provide giveaways like Pokemon Go items and real world products to customers. You will have to wait until the exact areas are yet to be announced.

According to game rules, users of the app can toggle between teams or change to whisper mode. Participants can proudly boast their team color via the game. The ultimate objective of RazerGo is to bring Pokemon Go players close to each other so as to allow them compete or cooperate each other, SlashGear has learned.

Only time will say how the chat app, RazerGo fares among users. Some other instances of multiplayer games like Splatoon and Hearthstone have tried designing chat systems in the past that have not worked successfully owing to useless noise, trash-talking and harassment.

However, one of the biggest selling points of Pokemon Go is it friendliness. Indeed, RazerGo finds you a great way of building your Pokemon Go bestiary. GoChat developer, Jonathan Zarra, had problems spinning enough money out of supporting the service. The game lacks a basic communication tool. Time will say whether RazerGo will garner the required support and popularity from its fans.
