Amid her reported gender transition, Bruce Jenner may be found guilty of causing the fatal car crash that killed a Kardashian family neighbor on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif. on Feb. 7.

Based on a new video of the incident, an official told the Associated Press on Feb. 18, Wednesday, that Jenner may be at fault. This was confirmed by a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department to Us Weekly on the same day.

"Whatever is being reported right now is not part of our investigation," the statement read. "We are still looking at the videos of the crash to determine what happened. We have not deemed who is at fault yet, the investigation is still very much open."

Police said that while he was driving his Cadillac Escalade, Jenner hauled an ATV on a trailer when he tried to avoid other vehicles in front of him before the collision. However, the former Olympian rear-ended two cars, a Hummer and a Lexus.

As a result, the Lexus was pushed into traffic after it was hit by the Hummer. The driver of the Lexus, Kim Howe, 69, was killed on the spot.

Jenner was said to be "devastated" about the incident and he feels terrible although he was not responsible.

"The accident happened right in front of his eyes and he stayed there the entire time watching everything," an insider close to the Kardashians told Us Weekly. "The woman who passed away was not in good shape and Bruce saw her body being taken out of the car."
