Chan, Hong Kong's top detective, partners with the America's most wanted fugitive to bring down China's deadliest gang. The two are in the run but they cannot escape each other. Chan, alongside Chris Tucker, has played similar roles in the "Rush Hour" movies. He also appeared in a 2000 Chinese-American action comedy western film, "Shanghai Noon" alongside Owen Wilson and Lucy Liu, Indiewire reported.

The "Skiptrace" film follows Jackie Chan who has been tracking a notorious crime boss Victor Wong for over a decade. When Samantha, Chan's goddaughter gets into trouble with Wong's crime syndicate, Bennie has to track down the man whose actions got her there, who is Connor Watts (Johnny Knoxville), the fast-talking American gambler.

Later in the plot, Chan soon discovers that in bringing Connor back to Hong Kong he is ensuring more than his goddaughter's fate; Connor also possesses knowledge about Victor Wang that, if exposed, could finally bring the corrupt businessman to justice. As Chan raves against the clock to return to Hong Kong with Connor, the unlikely pair embarks on an entertaining and perilous adventure spanning from the mountains of Mongolia to the dunes of the Gobi desert.

According to UTB Geek, the "Skiptrace" trailer boasts that this movie is brought to the fans by the hit makers, Renny Harlin. Harlin has not been lately active, but he carved for himself an action-oriented niche with movies like "Die Hard 2," "Deep Blue Sea" and "Cliffhanger."

The movie, "Skiptrace" is available on DirecTV and will be in theaters beginning on September 2.
