As filming of "Fast & Furious 8" reaches halfway, updates from its production were given by its franchise star, Vin Diesel alongside its director F. Gary Gray. Announcement was made through a video posted on YouTube which also featured snippets of what kind of action awaits fans in the upcoming film.

The "Fast & Furious" franchise has been dominating the film industry as it continued to be part of the highest-grossing movies for 15 years since it aired back in 2001. When "Fast 6" was released, many followers thought it would be the end for the well-crafted franchise. But producers caught fans off guard when they announced a "Fast 7" movie will begin production shortly after its prequel aired in cinemas.

Now that another installment is set for release next year, many are eager to have a sneak peak of what is going to happen in the next sequel. In the video released by production team, it features elements that have been present in the previous movies such as explosions and car chases, Screen Rant reported.

The one-minute sneak peek also previewed stuntmen rolling out from moving vehicles, with Vin Diesel and F. Gary Gray announcing all is well in production and that the film's is doing "phenomenally well." Diesel on the other hand gave a brief message saying they want to give their best especially for those fans who have been in their journey for so long.

Diesel will be joined by Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson who were also part of the previous "Fast and Furious" installments. New comers Kristofer Hivju of "Game of Thrones" and Charlize Theron will be taking their respective roles. Other cast also includes Eva Mendes, Lucas Black, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren, Flickering Myth reported.

Directed by Gray of "Straight Outta Compton," "Fast & Furious 8" will hit cinemas on Apr. 14, 2017. Its succeeding sequel movies, "Fast & Furious 9" and "Fast & Furious 10" will air on Apr. 19, 2019 and Apr. 2, 2021 respectively.
