Pangu has come up with an iOS jailbreak tool covering the iOS 9.2 to iOS 9.3.3. Cydia apps and tweaks are currently being updated as owners play the trial and error game on working jailbroken apps.
A working iOS jailbreak has finally come out in the open with Pangu releasing a semi-tethered crack that is only supported via Chinese language. An English version of the crack is however expected to follow soon.
Regardless, the iOS Jailbreak is the closest that the Apple jailbreaking community can look up to for now though it excludes Apple devices such as the iPad Pro 9.7 and the iPod Touch 6, Forbes reported.
Aside from those two minor details, the next order of business is figuring out which Cydia apps will work with the crack. A list of working tweaks was detailed at Gotta Be Mobile, meaning that not all apps may be working flawlessly the way they did with previous jailbreaks.
This means that Apple jailbreak user will have to undergo a bit of a trial and error phase to determine which Cydia apps are working with the latest jailbreak from Pangu.
The good news is that there are over 200 jailbreak apps on the list with 100 of them Cydia apps which will work fine on iOS 9.3.3. There may be popular apps functioning properly though some issues could crop up at some point.
Among the notable apps that are reportedly good to go include YouTube ++, Untethethered HeySiri, iCleaner, Haptic Pro, Live Photos Enabler, Flex 2, Browser Chance and Activator. A complete list of the apps compatible with the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak can be checked out via this shared spreadsheet.
While the list of apps should keep a lot of folks preoccupied, it should be worth noting that the semi-tethered crack will require some added effort on the part of users. This normally happens when the device is restarted.
Each time a device is restarted, users will have to run Cydia again to enable the jailbreak. It is not seen as something that would require much effort but a must for folks who want to use the iOS crack.
