The VAIO C15 laptop is the latest offering from JIP since Sony sold the VAIO PC line to JIP back in 2014, Sony.net reported. Sony struggled with the laptop range at the time and eventually turned their focus on mobile devices according to PC World.

Since then JIP has been trying to offer an acceptable laptop to the market. Until now, the VAIO name has been a no-show and was basically something limited to the Japanese consumers.

The same focus in Japan is expected for the C15 line, something that stands out with an unusual color design. Aesthetically, it makes use of multiple colors paired together in bold, large stripes across keyboards and the lid.

The VAIO C15 is categorized as one of the premium machines over in Japan, offered a little more than $900. Like most devices, the C15 is available in a variety of configurations where the pricing standpoint lies.

The basic C15 model offers a 15.5-inch display with 1366x768 resolution. Folks looking for something more can opt for a 1080p model or perhaps more RAM (from 4 GB to 8 GB). The choice of processor can also be for an Intel i3 rather than a Celeron 3215U and so on.

The C15 features a display with anti-glare coating, an impressive sound system that includes a large subwoofer (bottom) and the usual trackpad with complimenting buttons. Storage options range from 500 GB to 1 TB while a built-in DVD player is still present.

The usual ports are still around (Ethernet, HDMI and USB) with either Windows 7 or Windows 10 as optional operating systems including some programs that may be different from the iconic Office.

As mentioned earlier, the C15 is only available in Japan and there is no word for now if JIP plans to offer the laptop in the global market. More details can be found at Vaio.com.
