Yoo Ah In has recently sent a thoughtful gift to his good friend Song Joong Ki. The South Korean actor showed his support for the "Descendants of the Sun" star's latest movie project "Battleship Island" in the form of a food truck.
The cast and crew of the upcoming film "Battleship Island" have recently enjoyed free coffee and dessert given Ah In's food truck treat. The "Six Flying Dragons" star had a Coffee Pong coffee and dessert cart sent over to the movie's filming set to convey his support for his friend Joong Ki. The thoughtful gift was revealed through an Instagram message posted on Coffee Pong's official account, allkpop reported.
The said post includes a photo of the food cart at the movie's filming location, as well as pictures of iced drinks and ice shaving desserts. A banner was also displayed alongside the food cart that conveyed a supportive message for the movie's cast and crew.
Ah In was said to have sent the Coffee Pong food cart to give the film's staff and actors a cool treat during the hot weather. He also reportedly conveyed his support through a coffee cart for director Ryu Seung Wan and "Battleship Island" cast member Hwang Jung-min, as indicated in the same report.
Joong Ki and Ah In became friends when the two Korean actors both starred in the 2010 KBS historical drama "Sungkyunkwan Scandal." Ah In portrayed the vigilante student Moon Jae Sin while Joong Ki played the flamboyant Ku Yong-Ha.
The actor has also conveyed his support for his "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" co-star when he appeared in the hit KBS drama "Descendants of the Sun" in a special cameo role. Loyal viewers may recall Ah In playing a bank employee who denied Song Hye Kyo's character's request for a loan.
In other news, Joong Ki has already started the physical preparations needed for his role in "Battleship Island." The actor has partnered with fitness trainer Danny Joe to help keep him fit for the movie. The personal trainer has even shared a photo of himself with the actor at the gym on Instagram, Soompi reported. Joong Ki will play a soldier in "Battleship Island" alongside "Oh My Venus" actor So Ji Sub.
