The remastered edition of the original video game will feature a texture resolution that is doubled, better shadows, post-processing effects, and 60 frames per second on the PS4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. For the Wii U version of the video game, it will only run at 30 frames per second.

A Nordic Games spokesperson told PC Gamer in an email that aside from the 60 FPS in moment-to-moment gameplay feature for the PC, it will also have 4k support. PC owners who own 4k resolution monitors will be able to enjoy this feature when they play the game.

The spokesperson said that they game company thinks that War's journey is still a great game to play. This is the reason why it deserves to be remastered to make it an overall better experience for the players. They also think that the remasters are a way to make players familiarize again with the franchise, which could lead to another game title in the future, the spokesperson teased.

The video game will focus on War, the first Horseman of the Apocalypse, who is accused of breaking the sacred law by starting a war between Heaven and Hell. The result of the war was the angels were defeated and the demonic forces ruled the Earth.

The Horseman was stripped of his powers for the crimes he allegedly did. He was then sent to Earth to search for the truth and find the ones who were truly responsible for the incident.

Just like in the original version of the video game, players will be able to unleash the powers of the protagonist. He will be able to combine melee attacks and his supernatural abilities. He will also get a lot of weapons, from angelic to Earthly ones.
