Henson also posted a video of Markie singing while on set.

"#random jam session #SetLife #Empire @officialbizmarkie @theterrencehoward," she wrote.

As of late, it is still unclear what role the hip-hop artist would play and whether or not he will part of the series for only one episode.

Meanwhile, a new teaser for the upcoming season of the hit FOX series was recently released online.

The short clip was posted by Henson on her Instagram account. It also revealed some information about the actress' and the show's Emmy nomination this year.

Henson is nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category, while "Empire" is nominated in the Original Music category.

In other news, "Empire" is also nominated at the Teen Choice Awards 2016.

"Empire" season 3 will premiere on FOX on Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET.
