La Liga powerhouse FC Barcelona and Premier League giants Leicester City face each other in a champion-vs-champion encounter at the Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden on Wednesday, August 3 as the 2016 International Champions Cup reaches its final few fixtures.

The match would only be Barcelona's second friendly match in this year's preseason as the team took a two-month rest following their 2-0 extra time win over Sevilla last May to capture the Copa del Rey title.

Barça is coming off an easy 3-1 victory over Scottish Premiership side Celtic FC at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin last Saturday, as per BBC Sport.

Superstars Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez graced the contest for head coach Luis Enrique's side to the delight of the Irish fans.

However, it was Turkish captain Arda Turan who scored the opening goal of the match off a pass from defender Aleix Vidal at the 11th minute to give the early lead to the Spanish champs.

Celtic, who is spearheaded by Suárez's former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, manage to equalize the game at the 29th via a goal from striker Leigh Griffiths, but it proved to be the first and last goal of the Bhoys as center back Efe Ambrose netted an own goal just two minutes later and Spanish forward Munir El Haddadi scored another one at the 41st to make it 3-1 at the half.

The count went on to become the final score as both teams went scoreless in the second half.

Meanwhile, Leicester was crushed by Ligue 1 titlists Paris Saint-Germain, 4-0, at the StubHub Center in Carson on Sunday for their second ICC 2016 fixture, Daily Mail Online reported.

Head coach Claudio Ranieri's squad was not able to respond to all the attacks of Les Parisiens as top scorer Jamie Vardy sat out the preseason.

Without Vardy, and with Messi and Suárez available for the Blaugrana, the Foxes are expected to go through another lopsided decision in this match.

The predicted result is a 3-1 romp for Barcelona.
