The eagerly anticipated meet-and-greet event was slated to take place at the Olympic Sports Center in Beijing, China. It is said that numerous Chinese fans reportedly requested to see the show's lead stars ever since the first episode of KBS 2TV's "Uncontrollably Fond" aired.

Recently, it was reported that China is planning to restrict the scope of K-pop artists' promotions and endorsements in the country for an indefinite period. The news comes after South Korea's decision to deploy a US-developed missile shield.

On Aug. 1, Monday. China's General Office of Broadcasting and Television have reportedly ordered all local broadcasters to abide by a new set of guidelines, which states that all Korean actors and Kpop idols are now prohibited from having activities in any Chinese TV shows. They are also not permitted to hold concerts or any meet-and-greet event with more than 10,000 fans.

According to reports, several Korean entertainment agencies were apparently constrained to scratch off their artists' scheduled events, activities in China. Further, it is said that TV scenes featuring the Hallyu stars are now being modified out.

Nonetheless, it is worth noting that the said wide ban will not affect programs that have yet to be screened for airing. More details about the matter will be revealed soon.
