The South Korean police have brought into custody the woman who first accused JYJ member Park Yoochun of sexual assault. The first accuser's cousin has also been arrested for attempting to blackmail the singer.

After the issuance of police warrants to arrest the first woman who accused Park of sexual assault, the said individual, along with her cousin, are now under police custody, Soompi reported. The two persons were arrested on Friday, Aug. 5. The arrest warrants were reportedly issued to prevent the two individuals from leaving South Korea.

The warrants were also released after the police's investigation discovered that the first accuser, her cousin and her boyfriend were guilty of blackmail. However, only the arrest warrants for the woman and her cousin were approved. The woman has also been charged with making false accusations against the JYJ group member.

The said woman was one of the four ladies who alleged that Park sexually assaulted them. After extensive investigations conducted by the police, the singer has been acquitted. The police have also identified the second accuser's sexual assault allegations as false. However, the police stated that it was difficult to prove whether force was used in the third and fourth woman's sexual assault accusations. On the other hand, Park has been charged with solicitation of prostitution with one of the women involved in the case.

In other news, Park's agency, C-JeS Entertainment has announced that the upcoming "JYJ Membership Week" will not include any content related to Park. The agency made the announcement on July 27, allkpop reported. The said membership week is an annual fan event where members of the group's fan club get to enjoy special activities.

C-JeS mentioned that it has decided to remove any material related to Park during the upcoming fan event given the singer's ongoing police investigations. The agency stated that the JYJ member has been working hard to prove his innocence and requested for the fans' support during the musician's challenging period. C-JeS has also conveyed its appreciation for the fans who remained loyal, despite the singer's current legal situation.

Meanwhile, the 2016 "JYJ Membership Week" will be held at Seoul's COEX Hall from Sept. 9 until Sept. 11.
