In mid-June, a foundation pushed Chinese schools to teach sex education because of the growing incidents of sex abuse involving the youth.

But besides the reluctance of the schools to do so, to worsen the problem, so parents do not believe their children when they complain of sex abuse, especially if the victims are male teens. It happened recently in Dalian where a 43-year-old male teacher was accused of molesting male students at a private middle school.

The 10 complainants are third grade students from the Ruige Junior Middle School, a renowned school in China. The abuse has been going on for two years, according to What's on Weibo.

The accused has been identified as Li Chaoyuan, who allegedly kissed and fondled the male students repeatedly and exposed their genitals in front of the class. He also performed sexual acts on them at his home, reported The Paper.

Li is married with two children. His wife also works at the same school where the age of students are between 12 and 15 years old. Ruige Middle School, which charges school fees at 100,000 yuan a year, employs 110 teachers who handle about 1,200 Chinese and foreign students.

Besides the sexual abuse, one of the students told his parents Li also physically abused them, but he only did it to male students. Unfortunately, the parents did not believe their sons’ accusation because they are males whom they thought would not be easily abused.

Ruige officials kicked out Li who has been arrested in early 2016 and scheduled to go on trial this August. It also offered the teacher’s abuse victims a minimum compensation of 20,000 yuan.

Parents of such teens could learn some lessons from the Moore Show which aired in July 2015 an episode on male survivors of sexual abuse.
