The next season of "The Originals" will feature for the first time a five-year time jump from season 3. It is expected that Klaus will be waking up from a deep coma after the time period and will have a slight difference in personality.

The teaser was revealed by Joseph Morgan, the actor himself who said Klaus' mood and personality will change from what viewers were used to see before. The reason for this transition is pointed towards the previous events which happened last season where Cami died.

During his interview with Hypable at the San Diego Comic Con 2016, Morgan said there is a lot of anger in his character because of what happened to Cami. He also said his character will be reminded of that in the upcoming season. The actor also hinted on some reunion happening between him and his daughter in the fourth season.

When the publication asked the impact of Klaus missing the formative years of hope, the 35-year old actor said the only thing he can cling to is that he was able to keep her daughter safe. He also explained that fathers encounter instances where they have to do things to keep their children safe at the expense of their relationship.

Morgan also expressed his excitement to shoot the particulars scenes as he wanted to know how Hope reacts during reunion.

On the other hand, show creator Julie Plec explained it became an opportunity for the show to freely decide on production when the series' air date was moved, TV Line reported. She said they are able to add a couple of years for the in between season lapses.

The publication also reported that Christina Moises will continue playing the bisexual werewolf in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, CW's other TV series, "The Vampire Diaries" will be airing this year for its last season. Kristen Gutoskie will be included in the cast to play as nanny of two supernatural girls.

"The Originals" started airing in CW on Oct. 3, 2013. It was intended as a spin-off to "The Vampire Diaries."
