Rumors are making the rounds that the Cupertino-based Apple will not launch MacBook Air 2016 and will concentrate on the production of MacBook Pro series.

Several people are expecting a MacBook Air 2016 version. However, according to new reports, the software company has decided to cancel the Air line-up production to make way for new models.

Samsung Notebook 9, Lenovo Yoga 900, Surface Book, Asus ZenBook UX305 and Dell XPS 13 are some of the examples of the top Ultrabooks. These devices can put the new MacBook Air into the back seat.

The Dell XPS 13 is one Ultrabook that can replace the 2016 MacBook Air. The device features a 13.3-inch screen and is lightweight and compact.

It offers two USB 3.0 ports; a DisplayPort 1.2 video output port and a Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 Type-C port. The Dell XPS 13 comes with an audio jack and an SD card reader. Furthermore, there are no Ethernet or HDMI ports. The built-in Wi-Fi supports Bluetooth 4.1 as well as 802.11ac Wi-Fi, CNET reported.

The device has about a 12-hour battery life. The system is powered by a  2.2GHz sixth generation Intel Core i7-6560U Skylake processor.

The Asus ZenBook UX305 can also beat MacBook Air 2016. According to various reports, the device is extremely attractive, light, thin, fully metal machine and exquisitely-built.

It can take on any task easily whether it is editing images, viewing video or browsing the web. Its 7 hour battery life is extraordinary.

It is said that the Samsung Notebook 9, Lenovo Yoga 900 and Surface Book will also beat the 2016 MacBook Air.

According to MacRumors, the new MacBook Pro models will feature OLED touch-sensitive function keys and a Touch ID power button. It is expected that the device will be released in the fall. The forthcoming MacBook Pros will reportedly feature USB-C, with support for Thunderbolt 3.

According to recent leak, four USB-C ports will be found on the notebook.
