CD Projekt Red has just announced that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Game of the Year Edition will be released on Aug. 30. The upcoming edition will all have the DLCs that have been released already.
According to the official website of the critically acclaimed video game, the Game of the Year Edition will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. In select territories and sales channels, it will be called as "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Complete Edition.
CD Projekt Red game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz wrote on the official blog of PlayStation that the upcoming edition of the video game will have both of its expansion packs. It will also come with all of the additional content that the game studio has released for it. He added that this video game and its additional contents are the result of five years of hard work that their studio has put into it.
The game director proudly said that their video game has earned more than 800 awards, including more than 250 Game of the Year awards. Their video game is the most awarded game of 2015, and they are humbled by the fans' dedication to it. The main protagonist, Geralt, has captured the hearts of millions of gamers around the world, he added.
Tomaszkiewicz explained that the Complete Edition will have all of the three chapters of Geralt's final adventure. All of these chapters will give players 150 hours of open-world adventure that is full of action, exploration, hard choices, and consequences. All of these factors will help shape the video game's world and the many characters living in it.
Players will try to find the child of prophecy in a world torn by war in the Wild Hunt main story. They will fight against an immortal bandit leader in the Hearts of Stone chapter. The Blood and Wine chapter will let them experience the land of Toussaint and the evil that lurks behind the colorful environment.
The game director said that the two expansions will make sure that players will get more of everything in the main game. They will explore a brand new region, new areas to explore, new items, new weapons, new enemies to defeat, and many more. It will also have new features like new Mutations and Runewords.
Tomaszkiewicz thanked the game community that gathered and supported the game over the years. With their enthusiasm, it inspired the game studio to create the best RPG they have created so far.
