Charlie Puth, 24, is performing at the Kia Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines, on Aug. 14, Sunday. Prior to the concert, the "One Call Away" singer took to Twitter to ask Filipino actress Liza Soberano, 18, if she is watching his upcoming performance.

The last time Puth performed in the Philippines was in October 2015. This was almost seven months after the release of "See You Again," a song recorded by Wiz Khalifa, 28, with Puth as a featured artist.

"See You Again" was the lead single of the "Furious 7" soundtrack. It was a tribute to the late "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker, who died in a car accident in Valencia, California, on Nov. 30, 2013.

Puth is currently promoting his debut album titled "Nine Track Mind," which includes the collaboration songs "Marvin Gaye" featuring Meghan Trainor and "We Don't Talk Anymore" featuring Selena Gomez. As part of the promotion, the singer who is a Billy Joel fan performed in Singapore before going to the Philippines, Channel News Asia reported.

This is not the first time that Soberano caught the attention of a musician. In January, the British pop band The Vamps lead guitarist James McVey gave special attention to the actress, who currently stars in the Filipino series "Dolce Amore" opposite Enrique Gil, 24.

"We spoke a couple of weeks ago and I'm gonna text her tonight so hopefully we'll see each other in the concert," McVey told ABS-CBN News in January. "Liza, if you're watching, I'll sing to you tomorrow at the show."

Gil and Soberano have yet to confirm that they are officially in a relationship.  In an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" in July, the former said, "We treat each other like boyfriend and girlfriend."

Soberano was born to a Filipino father and an American mother in Santa Clara, California, and moved to the Philippines at the age of 10.
