Pokemon Go has been getting a lot of people from all ages hooked. Since the game itself makes the user live the dream of being a real life Pokemon trainer, it is not that surprising that the game has taken the entire world by storm.
According to Ecumenical News, Pokemon Go requires players to go around in catching different Pokemon creatures, and it also shows establishments which are considered as Pokestops, where "trainers" could get free stuff like poke balls and poke eggs.
Because of how time consuming and how much effort is needed to be exerted to catch a Pokemon, a hacker recently came up with a hack where it allows users to trick the app's GPS. The said hack tweaks the GPS setting of the game even when the player is not moving from his couch at home. The GPS is tweaked into thinking that the user is actually in the chosen location.
A user named jdsika posted a 'How to video' on his YouTube channel to warn all Pokemon fanatics that it is not easy to incorporate the hack into the game. The how to video showed the process on how users would be able to tweak the GPS, although people with computer engineering skills would surely get how to do it while people without any computer tweaking skills would actually find it difficult to follow the steps.
Following the recently released Pokemon Go hack, the game's developer Niantic stated that players who opted to use any hack for the game would be banned from playing it forever.
According to The Verge, Niantic warned players who use any kinds of cheats for the game, which includes GPS spoofing, bots, and other software techniques that enables players to play the game beyond Pokemon go's terms of service, as they will be banned in playing Pokemon Go permanently.
Niantic posted on their website the summary of the cheating violation that could eventually result to a user being banned from the game. Aside from explaining their new rules, Niantic also included their company's goal and the real purpose of the game, which reads "Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system."
Since a lot of people are clearly going crazy with Pokemon Go, it may be best to just go around and find Pokemons, interact with other Poke trainers and go have battles in Poke gyms. Trying to cheat would get users banned from the game forever, so might as well stick with the original instructions of the game.
