"Hearthstone" is known as an online collectible card game from Blizzard Entertainment. Now, this game features an event that reminds players of an actual chess match.

"Hearthstone" currently features an in-game event called "One Night in Karazhan," according to Polygon. Furthermore, this even showcases a prologue in which the player takes on the role of overpowered mage Medivh in a battle.

Moreover, "One Night in Karazhan" includes three set piece boss matches including a culminating fight for the first week. This final fight is titled "Chess."

The developers must have taken inspiration from the Karazhan raid in "World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade." That raid included a strange run in with living chess pieces. Blizzard again brings the same encounter to online trading card game, only this time the chess pieces are the cards.

This further means that players should carefully and strategically play these cards the same way they would on an actual chess game. Needless to say, it is something new to "Hearthstone" and the developer hopes that the player will enjoy it.

Speaking of player reaction, Destructoid has published detailed insights to "One Night in Karazhan" and readers are warned that the following may contain spoilers.

As mentioned earlier, there are three boss battles. The first one, surprisingly was a Silverware Golem with a heap of literally dinnerware. Here, the player would still need use the cards from the given deck strategically to win in this battle.

Moving on, the next boss is an enchanted mirror that duplicates attacks for both duelists. Thus, the player will have to go through plates and silverware and the magic mirror before the final event, which is the chess match. By then, player will not be choosing his own deck, as the cards bear actual chess pieces.

It should be noted, that there will be many different rewards for the person who plays "One Night in Karazhan." Moreover, the player who often plays Mage might just get Firelands Portal as a reward.

The transition of events following the prologue is likened to a fairy tale inspired style. It even seemed that Lumiere singing the classic "Be Our Guest" song was audible somehow in the background.

However instead of Lumiere the candelabra that many folks know, gamers will find Moroes, Karazhan's Steward asking for help because Medivh has been taken away.

Yet again, "Hearthstone" fans still have to play and experience this Week One event to see for themselves.
