Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 7 on Sept. 7 with carriers though its actual availability through leading mobile carriers may start only by Sept. 23. This delays the originally rumored retail release set for Sept. 16.

Prior to recent reports, renowned leaker Evan Blass mentioned last month that the market availability of the iPhone 7 would happen on Sept. 16. However, new leaks coming from AT&T hint that iPhone 7 units may only start rolling out by Sept. 23.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 7 is expected to kick off on Sept. 9, two days after Apple will launch the device. The two-week allowance is, however, consistent at how the Cupertino company released the iPhone 6s.

Last year, Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 6s on Sept 12 before officially releasing them on Sept. 25, 9to5Mac reported. The 13-day window is somehow close to latest rumors though Apple has yet to confirm if this would be the actual setup. There is a possibility that this would affect only AT&T subscribers.

Other mobile carriers like Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint have yet to announce their schedules. But if this AT&T reveal is legit, there is a fair chance that other carriers may follow the same dates, Business Insider reported. This is assuming that AT&T does not make changes to its resets.

Despite the meager upgrades to expect for the upcoming iPhone 7, long-time Apple loyalists are still expected to get the latest model. The major changes are being saved for the iPhone 8 expected to be out in 2017.

As many know by now, the iPhone 7 will no longer have the 3.5 mm jack and instead have a Lightning port. The reason behind this is to make the device slimmer, though bearing the same make of the iPhone 6 and 6s models.

Other than that, other expected changes include a more powerful A10 chip, improved internal storage, an improved camera, and a flush-capacitive home button. There will only be two devices (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus) coming out, nixing the previous word that there would be three models debuting this September, Mac Otakara reported.
